Andy Rementer is an American visual artist whose practice spans illustration, painting, comics, and animation. His colorful, nostalgic, and slightly offbeat world has found a place both in contemporary art and global commercial projects.
He grew up in a Victorian seaside town, a setting that continues to influence the tone and atmosphere of his work. After graduating from The University of the Arts in 2004, he spent time living in northern Italy before settling on the East Coast of the U.S., where he currently lives and works.Rementer's compositions often depict human and animal characters caught in the middle of everyday moments — from casual strolls and office meetings to romantic encounters or quiet daydreams. Beneath the playful surface, there’s often a sense of unease or ambiguity. His visual language draws from vintage design, old-school typography, and objects found in flea markets. In addition to exhibiting internationally, Rementer has worked with leading clients such as Apple, Nike, Samsung, The New York Times, BMW, MTV, Urban Outfitters, and the Bavarian State Opera, among many others. -
